                              THE STASH STORY

     In 2005, we were just two frustrated fashionistas living parallel, colorless lives in suburbs just a few miles outside of Boston.  Day after day, unbeknownst to either of us, we were both out shopping the Boston stores, scouring Newbury Street and the department stores for the clothing and accessories we saw in the magazines; the kind of fashion our friends who lived in NYC or LA wore so effortlessly.  Although we had dabbled with internet shopping, ordering a piece of clothing, a handbag or a jewelry item without being able to actually try it on, see it, and touch it was frustrating. 

In May, 2005, while waiting at a Starbucks line for coffee, a random conversation over the handbags we were each carrying turned into both of us lamenting over how difficult it was to find decent fashion in Boston.  In what we now recognize as a caffeine-induced, highly capricious decision, we decided , that the only solution was to open a store ourselves.  Two weeks later, we became business partners and in July, 2005, opened STASH at 63 Union Street in Newton Centre.  We were written up immediately by Daily Candy and in 2006, won the Best of Boston Globe New Stores.  (See more of our press in the Accolades portion of the site.)

Seven years later, we remain a tightly edited, thriving boutique, committed to bringing cutting edge fashion to the Boston area as quickly as possible. Monthly buying trips to showrooms in NYC and LA result in new fashions arriving daily at STASH.  We love fashion, we love our store, and we love our customers, and therefore, are able to offer unparalleled customer service in a warm, no pressure environment.  We are always available for fashion consultations and support!
